oh no, he’s totally projecting himself on pepper. he’s the one who needs to be treated like a warrior! pepper just needs… somepony to respect her. to let her be herself without treating her like a problem that needs to be fixed. in retrospect, I don’t know if boot camp was such a good idea for pepper. it’s their modus operandi to treat every recruit like a problem until they break, then give them respect, to get them hooked on being obedient. and pepper won’t break.
 
I guess it works out alright in the end, but… I don’t think it’s going to get better for pepper, before it gets worse.
