SO HI HAVE SOME MORE FAMILY MEMBER HEADCANONS BECAUSE THESE ARE FUN-
 
I’ll maybe one day doodle them, fleshing out their personalities and such.
 
These two are my headcanon of who Scootaloo’s parents are, now warning their backstory is a bit angsty so have fun reading it v

Scarlet and Axel were actually teenagers when they met, and they were the typical case of young flowery and fluffy love. Scoots was actually quite a surprise, and they didn’t think they’d become parents quite literally 3 months into their relationship. They were of course very excited to introduce their kid into their lives, and even made several preparations quite quickly with the help of Scarlet’s parents’ wealth. However, all these dreams of being a new family were crushed when one doctor visit gave them some.. unfortunate news.
 
Scarlet’s body is far too small to be able to give birth to their daughter without Scarlet dying. She’s lucky that her daughter didn’t turn out to be a miscarriage. Axel wasn’t there during the doctor visit due to being away at guard practice (he’s following his father’s legacy in being a royal guard), so he didn’t learn of this information. Scarlet is left with one of two options, either abort her child and rid of all the hopes that Axel had of happily having a family, or having their daughter and risking her own life so her daughter can have one. We can probably guess which of those two ideas she chose.
 
There were so many times when Scarlet wanted to tell Axel that she might die from having their kid, but Axel just so happened to be super busy with training to stay long enough for her to explain. Quite unfortunate really. When the time came that their daughter was due, Axel called off training for that day to be with his girlfriend to welcome their daughter into the world, only to be.. surprised in one of the worst ways to find that his girlfriend didn’t make it, and their daughter has dysfunctional wings due to almost being a breached baby.
 
Now he could have raised their baby and been a single father, right? Well, Scarlet and Axel weren’t together long enough to know that Axel suffers heavy depression, and cannot stand the loss of a loved one. Much like Scarlet never had the time to warn him of her death, Axel never had the time to discuss his mental state with her, because he assumed it would all go away once he and his girlfriend would have a family of their own. Once again, it was another dream that was sadly crushed. Axel does decide to take his daughter with him, he never ends up naming her though because he was going to discuss that with Scarlet. He (out of spite) calls his daughter “that baby” or “that thing”.
 
He flips a switch and begins to drink a lot, and lash out his anger a lot, which scares baby Scoots. Scoots resembles her mother so much that when Axel looks at her, he can’t help but think of Scarlet and gets angry. He realizes that he’s being a terrible parent and practically neglecting his own child, and sees that he can’t raise his daughter without risking being a bad father. Axel realizes his best option is to send his daughter off to a better home so that she doesn’t grow up being hurt by something he has a hard time controlling. He drops off his daughter at his sister, Holiday Carol, and her wife Lofty’s house. He leaves her in basket with a photo of her mother, and hopes that his sister sees his unnamed daughter there. He then runs away, and out of grief and self-hatred of being disappointed in what he became, hang himself in the Everfree forest, where his remains get eaten by Timberwolves. Holiday and Lofty find Scootaloo in the basket shortly after, and take her in and raise her.
