Description

Artist’s description from DA:
Inkwell stepped carefully through the shining halls och the Crystal Empire castle. Luna had just raised the moon outside the castle walls and sounds of ponies cheering and laughing together streamed out of the dining room. His mother and the other royal family had planned one of their monthly meetings and were now unwinding with a late dinner. The prince and princesses of the Crystal Empire, his cousins, weren’t attending the feast which made it the perfect moment for him to set his long awaited plans to practice.
Even though he tried his utter to remain calm and resolute the truth was that he was nervous, one might even go so far as to call him scared. He tried acting like his normal aloof self, ignoring the occasional guard or servant he happened to pass, but in his head his mind was racing. Every pony he saw made him mentally jump and start doubting his plan. What if they found out, or worse yet, already knew. He was fully aware that these thoughts were just his paranoia sneaking up on him as there was no way for any of the ponies he met to possibly know what he was planning.
The more he walked the more the long hallways seemed to stretch on infront of him. What if he couldn’t find him? What if he couldn’t get him alone? Anxious Inkwell turned his head to adjust the saddlebags on his back. He just had to tell himself to keep calm, he figured, and everything would work out.
Inkwell neared the room he had been looking for. As expected no guards were stationed outside, just two patrolling the hallway outside. Quickly while their backs were turned Inkwell managed to sneak inside and gently close the doors behind him.
The room was, as all other rooms in the castle, a big, luxurious, sparkly fever dream. It was dimly lit and at the back of the room a pony could be seen slumped over a desk illuminating it with the magic around a quill they were currently using.
“Please, I don’t want company right now…” the pony winced sadly without turning around.
Inkwell hesitantly stopped in his tracks, unsure of what to say.
“You can leave the tray or whatever and go back to the party” the pony spoke again.
Inkwell felt a internal sigh of relief as he figured out how to handle the situation.
“I’m not one of your servants cousin” he said trying to sound as reasuring and uplifting as his monotone voice could muster “I wanted to check in on you… since you weren’t seated during dinner”
Surprised the pink prince’s ears perked up and he spun around to face Inkwell.
“Inky? I’m sorry, I really didn’t expect… you”
Inkwell winced at being called Inky but continued the conversation.
“Excuse the intrution, it’s just that Cadence mentioned that you and Flurry Heart both weren’t feeling well so I just wanted to check on you”
“Well that’s surprisingly pleasant of you. I’m almost tempted to ask what the catch is but I might actually need your help” Ripper turned back to the desk and gestured a hoof for Inkwell to come closer. “I’m trying to write this letter but I’m not really the best writer. But you are really good at this stuff so maybe you can help me word it”
“Oh well…” Inkwell stepped closer to his cousin, standing right behind him. “What are you writing?”
“It’s an apology letter. I did something bad and now I want to try and apologise…” He paused staring down at the parchment “But great flaming balls this shit is difficult”
Inkwell noticed how his cousin had once again picked up the quill and put it to the parchment fully turning his gaze away from him.
Okay Inkwell, this is it. He thought as he reached back into his bags and retrieved a small vial and a handkerchief.
“Well what you could do is~ “ he trailed off as he silently popped open the vial and poured its content over the piece of cloth.
There’s no going back now. Inkwell thought before violently lounging at Ripper and coveringthe prince’s mouth and nostrils with the handkerchief.
Shocked Ripper whinnied and fell backwards of the chair he was seated on. Inkwell did his best to stay out of the way of Ripper’s brief flailing before they gradually subsided and the prince was left motionless on the floor.

Story time, yay!
Ive been reworking certain points of Inkwell’s story a whole lot and I think this is the version that I am most excited about so this is what I am sticking to!
Shit is finally going down with the selfcentered purple dillbag and I am enjoying myself haha.
I hope you all like it as well even though its a fairly simple sketch drawing.
