Yup. While here was an event that lead to all of them getting their mark AROUND the same time, they didn’t get it all AT the same time. Rarity got it much later in the day after she made the jewel encrusted costumes for the play and AJ didn’t get her’s until she returned to the farm.

Well, maybe one can just say the Mane 6 memories weren’t absolutely perfect on specifically when they actually got their CMs even if those were likely intended to be taken as literal flashbacks in the show. If the ones who decide how these things must appear in the comics can play things fast and loose, then I guess so can we!
And if not, then: The comics aren’t canon, just funny alt universe things, so just ignore it!
