It is not easy having children.

Can’t wait for this. I was kind of worried at first thinking they were gunna a story where all the main six knew eachother when they were younger which I always hate. But after the preview they should I’m really hyped to see what they do with it

Same could be said for the comics too. The Sonic comics including the ones based on the “Sonic X” anime lasted years after the original shows ended.

Spin-offs outliving the main series is not uncommon nor far fetched.

I do think it would be odd to get rid of two shows in one year when they still make a lotta money.
 
I mean, let’s be real.
 
There’s obviously still a demand for both. That’d mean getting rid of both Fim and Equestria Girls. Getting rid of all those assets in Adobe.
 
I mean, being honest, the only reason I can even see for making an entirely new generation is if they think they can make more money.
 
Do I think they can? …Ehhhhhhh. I mean, if they kept basically all the characters from Fim, redesigned them with more detail, and added in more mature themes, then I guess they could.
 
But, Im not going to believe those notes. I mean, they made Twilight, the pony whose main defining Element is MAGIC, an Earth-Pony. Why? Would it not make more sense to leave her as an Unicorn?
 
Also, making a new gen with the same characters so early will mean it gets compared to them with more criticism than if they waited ten or so years.
 
I kinda just want them to do the Pokemon treatment. Expand the current world, but maybe add onto the style every few years. Shrug.

Unfortunately no, it’s out next week. The 20/20 is IDW’s branding, like “20/20 hindsight”. For MLP, STTNG, Ghostbusters, and a few others, they’re doing one offs with the prsent characers seeing what they were like 20 years prior.

Wait. This is coming out in 2020. Right. Then that means. Mlp isn’t ending this year. Yes!
