Those people don’t seem to understand a movie doesn’t need blood and gore and tons of sex to be good.

I haven’t seen Infinity Wars yet, so I was mainly talking about the first full Avengers movie.

What I loved most about those scenes was the use of the stones. Thanos could’ve done some mad stuff with those and it would’ve been awesome to see that! That would be much more entertaining than standard violence. I really get where you’re coming from!

Take the Avengers action scenes for a good example.
 
That movie had really great action fight scenes, and they didn’t rely on blood and gore to keep the audience interested.
 
Now compare that to any movie you’ve seen has a tons of blood and gore in it for no real reason. You’ll probably find that that movie is probably far less of a movie than the first Avengers because it’s relying on the violence to keep the watcher’s attention rather than all the other reasons, such as character and story.

Yeah the comedic gore in deadpool is pretty arguable as actually being comedy. I remember a funny meme where it parodied the movie by having him shoot and say nonsense whilst the audience goes mental XD.

But I still think the Deadpool movies could’ve worked without being rated R.
 
I remember a movie called Major Payne, which was only PG or PG-13 at best, but there was an actually kind of funny part early in the movie where the guy, Major Payne comes to an injured soldier was crying out because he was badly injured in his leg. So Major Payne broke one of his fingers to take his mind off the pain in his leg.
 
Now I know, that movie wasn’t the best in the world, but it was still funny and a good time to watch.
 
But I also have to disagree about “comedic” gore. And that’s because it raises the question “Where do you really draw the line?”
 
And that line is about where supposedly comedic gore becomes just more gratuitous violence.
 
I mean, if you see some guy get shot and fall down off of a cliff with a Wilhelm scream, that’s usually pretty fun. But if you see some guy get his entire crotch blown off with nothing but a gaping hole where his junk use to be, that’s not funny, that’s not funny at all.
 
And I just think that you can have action scenes that don’t rely on the bloodiness of the battle or fight to be what keeps people interested.

You have a good point. Its more that for some reason hollywood thinks people havent seen that much gore, when most movies they dish out involves copious amounts of it. Gore is definitely overdone.  
I used Deadpool as an example since the gore in that was used comedically, not in a shock horror sense. I also like to think I have a fine imagination.

They could easily do it without showing actual chopped up bodies and such.
 
Seriously, you have no imagination.
 
They could do things like having images of covered up bodies or bloodied rooms or stuff like that, without having to show all the gory details.
 
And yes, I do fully think that the Deadpool movies would’ve been just fine and loved if it was lowered in rating. Because, like I already said.
 
Movies can be good without being rated R or having tons of mindless violence, sex, and cursing every 3rd word.
 
If you can’t handle that fact, then too bad, you can’t change it.

Off screen butchery leaves you with nothing. Then again mindless violence leaves you with just violence.  
Of course a film doesnt need an adult rating to be good, but do you think Deadpool would have been as acclaimed as it was had it been made for a lower rating?

So many movies that are rated R are just such crap nowadays.
 
They think that replacing good writing and actually good characters with nothing but mindless violence and swearing is the right way to do things.
 
Movies don’t have to be rated R to be good pal. Get over it.
 
 
And the squeal doesn’t need to be rated R to necessarily show or convey the terrible acts that Cletus/Carnage has done or will do.
 
Because that’s what you’re making it sound like, that they have to have to have all the butchery and such be shown right there on screen to make the movie good.

No, we’re gonna start complaining the moment they don’t make the sequel R-rated considering it’s probably gonna focus around Carnage.

I thought the movie was pretty good.
 
Don’t believe all the stupid people who were whining about it being PG13 instead of R.

I think the venom movie is cool as well even doh I haven’t seen it
