An interesting discussion in the Deadfrontier forums relating to ponies, though I might share.

The ponies can easily win this. All they need to do is cut off the humans’ supplies and wait for them to run out of gas and ammo. Either they’ll find a portal-closing spell in the Starswirl wing of the royal library or they use the Sun to sweep our pathetic starships out of orbit.
Say the humans were able to resist befriending the ponies, then their hatred would attract windigos and they’d be frozen.
The ones that survive freezing could be seduced by the charms of ponies like Rarity.
The remaining army could be led of by a group of unicorns using the “want it, need it” spell on random items. The items would then be chucked into a volcano.
Then you could unleash the smooze.
going of an assumption of mine, I would imagine the would also need a minimum item level of 490 and be flasked and enchanted?
It would be really hard but I think 10 ponies would be enough to make it (25 if heroic).
And all dem damn useless bars of uselessness.
