I have my own theory for rock farming. You see, some rocks (mostly geodes) grow diamonds and crystals inside. However, this is only under certain circumstances. In order to get the best results, the rocks must be maintained. this could also be called rock ‘farming’. So perhaps the point is to care for the rocks until they are ‘ripe’ or have a good amount of sale value. However, this takes a lot of time, effort, and luck, so it’s not an ideal job, which is why we as humans don’t do it much.
