Captain Celaeno, a Master of both the Wingblade and the Chakram and ardent follower of the Anhar Path like most of her Family. During her youth, Celaeno often found herself gazing longingly at the western horizons from atop the many spired mountains that the capital of Skycrown rested upon, dreaming of the days when she alongside the rest of the Arakkoa would return to the Mainland and stand alongside Rukhmar and Anzus’ equine heralds of Kelshara and Tovuni at long last, they owed much to the Ponies, a debt that they wouldn’t truly repay even if it took thousands of years.
 
Learning about Maritime Navigation and eventually being promoted to Sky Commander, Celaeno would set off into the oceans around their homeland of Black Arak Atoll, a prestigious career awaiting her as a Privateer and Messenger to the world about the powerful isolated island nation of Black Arak Atoll. A career that ended up brief as it was painful, for it was inevitable that Celaeno and her crew would run afoul of The Satyrs, immortal enemies to the Arakkoa and to all that lived in the world. Their battle was bloody as it was brief, but the Satyrs managed to take hold of Celaeno and her crew to imprison them, in a last ditch effort to prevent the Satyrs from finding out where Black Arak Atoll was, Celaeno burned down her own ship as her crewmates flew away to safety. The Satyrs ever-furious at not being able to finally relish in driving the Arakkoa to extinction took their frustrations out on Celaeno by removing the one thing that she valued most as an Arakkoa: her wings were sliced off from her arms and she was cast out into the seas below.
 
When Celaeno came-to, she found that the Satyrs managed to stick a Void-Corrupted dagger into her back. While it wouldn’t kill her, the Void-Corruption now permeated her body as it completely cut her off from the skies altogether, for the rest of her days Celaeno would never be able to fly or touch the clouds ever again. Because of this, Celaeno would be cast out of Black Arak Atoll as is custom with their people, distrustful of whatever the Satyrs managed to do to her or if she was followed by the Satyrs in-secrecy hoping that she would lead them to the domain where the Sun and Moon Gods resided to slay them in the name of Sethe: the demented fallen God whose blood destroyed all life on Rakshar of Old and forced Anzu and Rukhmar to flee to this other world to make as their home.
