It’s from the 2003 movie The Room, famous for trying to be a serious drama about an adulterous affair but it’s so incompetently made that it’s actually considered a hilarious meme worthy comedy. A film that people say is “so bad it’s good.”

The joke is that the main character Johnny, the long haired, foreign sounding guy, is obsessed with American football as seen in this clip:

Johnny is played by Tommy Wiseau, who also was the movie’s producer and director. He’s basically a legend at this point for sheer incompetence in movie directing. There is even a book written by Gregory Sestero, who plays Johnny’s blond best friend Mark who had an affair with Johnny’s fiance Lisa, detailing the otherworldliness of working with Wiseau who even wanted a vampire in the movie at one point.
