Description

Luna and Celestia (Tia) were born into royalty, Luna being a pegasus and Tia a unicorn. They both earned their alicorn status through years of hard work and dedication. Luna was trained by her mother, the warrior, and Tia was trained by her father, the sorcerer (basically a super powerful magician). They worked as ambassadors for Equestria, but, when the need arose, as warriors as well.
200 years ago, Sombra and Chrysalis launched an aggressive attack on Canterlot, the heart of Equestria. They managed to take it, killing the king in the process. The queen and princesses managed to escape to a nearby city, but Sombra soon marched his army of umbra ponies on it. The queen was killed in the midst of battle, forcing the Equestrians to call the retreat.
As Sombra and Chrysalis took more and more territory, the princesses realized that more lives would be wasted than saved if they kept fighting. They ordered their army to stop fighting, fleeing to the Crystal Empire. They helped the royals there as best they could, training the new emperors and empresses to fight, use magic, and foreign skills that the Crystal ponies didn’t have.
When Cadence became Empress, she, with the help of Applejack, managed to convince the princesses that it was time to take their country back. They began recruiting in secret, knowing that there were enemy spies in the Empire that would tell Sombra and Chrysalis about any rumors of a rebellion. They made sure to keep it an absolute secret, sending messengers into Equestria to recruit while they collected supplies such as armor and food.
A year or two after the initial decision, they finally crossed over into Equestria, setting up base camps and gathering more and more ponies to fight. And…. more later XD

Hope you guys like this! Just a couple notes:
*Luna prefers actual fighting in a battle while Tia is better at using battle magic, usually staying to the side of a fight (not cuz she’s a wimp, but because she can focus more and be more effective)
*Yes, they are wearing makeup. It’s a style they picked up from the Crystal Empire.

Priorities
They are the best of generalship: Luna fights with the infantry, inspiring the troops and micromanaging the front, whilst Celly observes from afar, placing reserves where/when needed, coordinates with the long range artillery, and surveys enemy movements.
