fwiw I can’t see pegasi needing much protection past the fleshy part, all the way down their leading feather. at least with bird wing design, the outer edge of each of those wings is just gonna be the longest pinion, not an actual bone or anything. just look at how short the wing-arms are on plucked chickens.
