Upon hearing she’s started seeing Fancy Pants, his arch-political-rival, he has his ally, Prince Blueblood lure Fleur to the Lower Canterlot Gardens out of sight. There he seizes Fleur, nullifies her power with a magic-containment ring and has the mare at his mercy.  
Before he can begin, however, Fancy Pants, informed of the crisis by the penitent Blueblood, races into the forest and prepares to soundly fight off those assailing the mare he’s fallen for while dressed in the ceremonial military garb of Canterlot.
