These things are hugely time consuming and I don’t know how often I can continue them. Just completing it took me way outside my weekly allocated time for paints, and even then at a lower quality. (Note that the first attempt each panel was its own environment piece I could spent 2-3 weeks on. The first half of the page took close to 6 weeks total to finish. Comics in general are always hard for me, due to layout, character designs, preserving environment layout and color, text and speech bubbles…yeah.
I updated this piece since it was part of my current weekly experiments to push and see how much i can accomplish within my allocated time frames. I won’t be touching this in awhile, and the next page, while i have detailed in linework already, will not be done anytime soon.
But i do intend to get to them over time. Future updates will have links to pages etc
but uh… I’m sure you’re aware of that, and making me cringe with the flimsy ungainliness of those wings is inentional. I absolutely love everything else, especially that gold inlay, the sunlight on the water, and the poor pegasus’s alarmed expression.
uh… I wonder if you could maybe have scenes without all that swirly, bumpy, engraved woodwork. it might be less time consuming that way.
