To be honest, I always found it rather telling that the way Applejack envisioned the fruit bats looked a hell of a lot more like the real thing than the way Fluttershy saw them.

Honestly, the only difference between Applejack’s version and the real deal was that the actual fruit bats’ gums aren’t visible when their mouths are open. But this looks nothing like the actual animal.
