Lots of working with individual pixels. Not a lot of drawing involved, since you can just download a full pony from pony.town. You gonna mostly be doing image manipulation at that point. Cutting body parts and moving them frame by frame for animating. Maybe drawing a new body part from time to time, like if the legs are moving to gesture a certain way.
This one time I animated Rainbow Dash flying, I had to move her hair like it was blowing in the wind. So frame by frame I had to squish and move the hair, then go through to move individual pixels around to make it look smooth and not messy. Just a lot of small detail work.

Yeah I know, it’s why I usually only did it in instanced area’s. Like Twilight bedroom and such so only the people there, saw it xD hahaha, I even recorded one session that I put on you tube. xD (Hidden of course, you’d need the link)
