They are, in this sense, a parasite to Equestria, they contribute nothing, but take what they need, and are spreading like a plague to consume. It’s more depressing that they are forced to do so, and don’t have much of a choice, though we don’t know how they feed, unless when she casts that spell on shining armor is any idea of what it’s like, in which case, is painful. It be pretty neat for her to return though, maybe give more insight into the changelings. Sort of like what is done with the incubus species in the Miss Mab webcomic. Yet to see a villain reform on it’s own accord, or find a solution to reach common ground. Luna doesn’t count, she was forcibly changed from evil to good, even then that was paper thin fantasy stuff.
It’s a pity, the show already treats kids, in most of it’s episodes, like they have a damn brain, so why not throw some gray area stuff at them, usually sparks some interesting ideas, like a villain who’s not really evil, but more chaotic good; like the tales of symphonia villain, in which it could be argued that the heroes are more villainous for wanting the worlds to remain as they are, even if it causes pain and agony, where as the villain wants to end all suffering by creating absolute equality.
Therefore, Your argument is invalid.
Chrysalis is a fantastic villain because she’s terrible at it. She was clearly new to the whole infiltrate and exterminate deal.
I feel like maybe the previous ruler died and the Changelings panicked and elected whoever was willing, and Chrys was all “nevermind that we’re a complete mystery to the outside world and have everything we need, let’s go sack Equestria’s capital!”
And they were sloshed enough to think it was a great idea.
Haha! Forgive me for not recognizing the glory that is you.
That’s actually a great point, but I would assume sooner or later their disguise would be uncovered as they could only change into existing ponies.
actually her plan was pretty good and would have succeeded if she hadn’t freaking locked Twilight in the caves with Cadence
Seriously she was home free before she did that Twi was completely convinced she wasn’t evil anymore and everyone else was getting prepared for the wedding honestly she just fucked up for no reason
A very coarse and angry saint, but a saint!
Also, holy shit Impious. Calm yo tits. It’s a discussion on bug horse monarchs.
Which means they probably can’t, because they didn’t.
Don’t take what he says personally, he’s not a very nice guy but we love him for that.
If I asked and was refused, and had no other options, then sure, I would take it by force.
But not by throwing all available forces at the enemy’s capital, where their godlike rulers happen to live.
That brings up another thing… Even though she nearly succeeded, Chrysalis’s plan was terrible. These are shapeshifters, yet Chrys clearly couldn’t be bothered to research Cadence herself. If everypony hadn’t been so starstruck, they would have figured her out in five minutes. And if she was really just after a permanent food source and wasn’t jusr conquering Canterlot to fuel her ego… Could her army of shapeshifters have just integrated into the population quietly?
>ratfuck overlord. He’s kind of a cunt
Now that was just uncalled for.
Alright I’m starting to see your point. Ok, so just for fun, let me ask you a question: Say you were chrysalis. Your kingdom looked to you to provide nourishment. Assume you asked for spare love but was denied the offer as it would cause detrimental effects on the pony populace. What would you do?
Unlike that ratfuck Overlord. He’s kind of a cunt.
