Emerald tells basically the same story as he told Hope. He feels the tears well up in his eyes again, but he holds them back. Emerald is pretty sure that Joyride isn’t one to tolerate such a thing.

“Joyride!” Hope says sharply.
“What? It kinda is, sorta. Anyway, a magical ring on your nuts huh? When you said you had a problem I assumed you meant that thing.” Joyride continues, pointing at Emerald’s pendant.

“one problem at a time, lil’ buddy. Now here, up on the table and let me examine the ring.” the black maned pony says, slapping a hoof on a table in indication.

“Yes well, I recognize this. It’s the Intruder Mk III ball clamp. The easiest way to get this off would just be the safety word, but I guess we don’t have access to that.” Joyride says, and rubbing her chin continues, “The other option is to try a gender reversal spell. If you have no balls then there isn’t anything to clamp onto.”
Emerald gives his consent almost immediately. He wants the clamp off, and if turning into a filly for a second is the best solution than he is perfectly okay with it.
Joyride swings her head around and brings it forward, shooting a pinkish light at Emerald. Emerald looks down, but notices he still has his equipment.
“Huh, well… I thought that would work. Hmm… Anyone else got any ideas?”
