Emerald is very tempted, but then he remembers the ring. Maybe he should tell Joyride about it, because she is a unicorn and might be able to do something about the ring.
Somehow though, Emerald is quite sure that he shouldn’t do this without Hope around.
“Hope? Hooope?” Emerald says quietly at first, and then raising it to a yell.
A few seconds later the pink maned mare comes barreling out of the door.
“Emerald! She didn’t do anything to you, did she?”
“Me?” Joyride says, “That’s a bit hypocritical, don’t you think? Jeez, a coltfucker… And here I thought you were vanilla as they come.”
Hope responds to this with stammers and flapping of the hooves, but Joyride rolls her eyes and walks past her towards her door, “Come on inside. Let’s talk where I can get some booze.”
The black maned pony holds the door open as the pair of you enter, and Emerald looks around. There are shelves and shelves of odd looking objects and bottles, plants, fluids, and pieces of animals you don’t recognize. There are a few books as well as several big boxes, one of which is rattling. There is also a door to the side and a ladder going up to what you assume must be a bed of some kind. There are several comfy, well-worn couches around a coffee table, as well as a small dining area with a full kitchen, seats, and table.
“So, what’s the damage?” Joyride says, handing out some sort of sweet smelling, amber colored liquid. The colt is a little wary of drinking it, but Hope takes it with a thank you, which puts his mind at ease.
“We need a place to hide and… Err, we have a second problem that…”
Joyride’s ears perk up, and she says, “Before I do anything, I want to know why you need hiding in the first place. Does it have something to do with Lil’ Buddy here?”
“H-he’s had a hard time, please don’t make him~~”
“I ain’t sticking my head out for your fuck buddy unless I know why.”
