"pet" tags [NSFW]

Or is it? I can’t tell. pet is certainly being used quite often as though it’s the same as pet play, but if that’s the case, why do we have both? I assume the pet tag was originally created for actual pets such as Tank and Owloysius, while pet play’s use is pretty obvious. But the former is being used for both. So, should we:  
A) change all pet play fetish images to the pet play tag and monitor that pet is used exclusively for actual pets from here on out, or  
B) have pet play imply pet and use pet universally, while pet play is specific to the fetish?  
Either way, descriptions need to be added to both to clarify what each is to be used for, and there will be some cleanup needed.

IMO pet play doesn’t involve any pets, it involves a sexual/sensual partner. So no to that implication.

I agree with this mentality; just thought I’d suggest allowing pet to be used in the sexual sense as many users seem to feel that it can be.

I’d be inclined to agree with approach A and adding descriptions, primarily because there’s not otherwise a comprehensive tag for actual pet animals. Though given the nature of pet-owner relationships in the show, I suppose in some cases it might be less clear cut than it would be IRL.  
Now contemplating drawing something that deserves both tags.

Yeah, I’d say pet play should be reserved for the sexual kink, while pet should be for actual pets.
