Knowing it’s age now, and aware of the state it was found in, Silvanus holsters the archeotech weapon away, then resorts back to his bolt rifle, stopping several more onrushing heretics in their tracks,

before taking out a quartet of ‘‘longarm’’-bolter wielding traitors perched and shooting from up-high upon a davit-suspended scaffold, hanging in front of the bridge’s wall-spanning board of space navigational maps.

As the violent pandemonium declines in intensity, with the most brash and dauntless of berserkers put down, the fighting soon transforms into a game of cat-&-mouse; with hiding remnant heretics occasionally springing out in ambush, versus loyalists patrolling throughout the expansive bridge-deck.
 
“We know you’re still here, renegades… you can’t HIDE FOREVER!”
 
During the search, Silvanus stumbles upon one of the remnants hiding within a labyrinth of towering shelves, used to archive millions of archaic maps. At the very moment when the heretic leaps into action, both of his legs are kneecapped in short order; as the traitor stumbles, a section of shelves he clings onto avalanches down upon him, trapping him under the literal weight of thousands of pounds worth in ancient parchment.
 
Rummaging cautiously through the piles of scrolls, Silvanus locates and discards any weaponry found on the chaos marine, then drags him out of the maze-like archives, whether to interrogate, execute then add to listed bodycount, or both.

*As the captured heretic-astartes continues to be pummeled, an Ultramarine lieutenant stepping into the scene shoves Silvanus aside, then promptly executes the traitor with a heavy bolt pistol.
 
Lieutenant: “…A word with you, brother sergeant.” Leads Silvanus away from the junior battle-brothers congregating around the traitor’s brutalized corpse. “That’s the last time I’ll see you doing that. I’m forgetting what I saw here, but you’ll never harm unarmed captives like that again.”
 
Silvanus: “Yes, brother lieutenant.”

Cerus stepped up to the corpse, shooing the neophytes away.

With the ship reclaimed back for the most part by it’s original masters and passengers, Silvanus steps toward the bridge’s CIC table with daunted curiosity, observing the holographic map of Ultima Segmentum.

Looking through the map, he summons information on the segmentum’s recorded warp anomalies, phenomenon, and perpetual storms, wondering if the traitors now-slain across the bridge had a plan pertaining to them…
 
_{The first result is “Van Grothe’s Rapidity”, a warpstorm extending across light years of space, spelling a certain doom for all of those entering into it without caution. Though dangerous, when traversed correctly, it can hurl a warp-borne spacecraft through the eddies and tides of the empyrean with such speed that an interstellar journey through warpspace can be shortened by months, if not years. As a result of this, the Rapidity has earned itself the moniker of “Hell’s Slingshot.”
 
The next retrieved search is the “Hadex Anomaly”, a raging warp phenomenon that lies at the core of the Jericho Reach in the Eastern Fringe. Like a monstrous heart palpitating in the void, it’s influence has expanded and receded rhythmically, absorbing and disgorging entire systems over the course of decades. Though clearly a warp/realspace overlap like most other similar events, the Hadex Anomaly exerts an exotic effect not just upon the physical realm, but on the temporal as well. Ghost vessels surrounding the Anomaly itself have become locked within a tide of chronal disturbances–frozen within a forever-repeating closed timelike curve.}
 
Looking further into recent chaos incursions within the surrounding area of the latter, two results are displayed;
 
the Scourge Stars, used as a launch-point during the last millennium’s Plague Wars, led by the traitor primarch and Daemon Prince Mortarion himself,
 
and the “Cyclopean Congregation”, a growing pirate-cult lead by a mad circle of rogue astral navigators…

A quick sweep revealed how the traitors got on board… They never breached the Geller field, they hid in the cargo before the ship entered the warp. This means there is a chance they did this to other ships as well.
