Adding tag-links to text syntax

Didn’t know how to summarise the title
 
One addition I would like to see is a way to add a tag in your text. The green (or other coloured) thing found underneath the images. It’ll make it easier to type tags, say:  
[tag]dj pon-3[/tag]  
Than:  
“dj pon-3”:/tags/dj+pon-dash-3
 
To compare those, the result would be or compared to dj pon-3.
 
If an alias is typed, it’ll still produce the same tag, so [tag]dj p0n-3[/tag], [tag]dj pon3[/tag], [tag]dj-pon3[/tag] will all yield the same tag.
 
Benefits:  
• easier to type  
• always a link  
• stands out as a tag  
• easy to access watch/spoiler/hide  
• see how much it’s used
 
Concerns:  
• doesn’t work that well in flowing text
 
Please do comment of what you think of this idea.  
Tell me if there’s more benefits and concerns I should add to the list.

I would not be against such a feature, though, should tags get changed/aliased/deleted, it’d have to find the destination tag, or just stop linking.

If it links to something that is now alised, it’ll now point to the new destination just like the alias does.  
If it links to a tag with no uses, like dj pon-4, it simply would be a tag with zero uses.
 
I should have made the images clickable to increase the realness of them.

There’s difference between a tag with no uses, and a nonexistent tag. dj pon-4 is a nonexistent tag, and as you can see it redirects you to main page, while something like zexal is a zero-uses tag.

Would it matter if the tag has 0 uses or being non-existent?
