I remember an episode of "Alf" where Alf eventually got the same "we could die at any moment" mindset, and spent most of the episode being down and depressed (while still being more polite than usual). The eventual lesson of the episode is that being kind to the ones you love, and enjoying life, are both great things, but you should do it knowing you have a long, full, happy life ahead of you.

What I'm saying is: You shouldn't have a "we could die at any moment" is a bullshit mindset. Your life will be long and plentiful.
