Fluttershy may be fitting for the PNW, but not really for California (unless you count "[hipstershy":](/search?q=hipstershy) ). Applejack probably fits Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa better than Rainbow Dash. Pinkie as the South is an interesting choice that I don't see often. Rarity as New England is perfect.
