Part of it is ditching the helmet and having more hair-like hair (NMM's in the show is like smoke _*even more than_* normal Luna, so making the hair look more solid makes Luna look somewhat different but NMM _*very_* different.) Also, this version of NMM has her coloration deliberately vary (show NMM is solid black; this NMM is _*usually_* more blue. When her colors darken further, it's a good idea to start running!)
