[bq]And i also wasn’t saying inaction was the right way of it.
The whole point is, if you frothing at the mouth as an SJW you lose credibility.[/bq]
You say this, but in your original post, you say:
[bq]Putting flags everywhere and screaming about it from the rooftops is cringe. Worse is trying to provoke people over it.
Just relaxing and being normal in your acquired gender is all most trans people actually want, yanks want everything to be about politics
[/bq]
Now I'd agree on the provoking part. But if your point is whether or not people are frothing at mouth SJW's, the bar you clearly seem to be setting for that is extremely low. Waving flags and going to pride rallies is cringe? Really? If you agree that some degree of action is reasonable, then what sort of action do you think is reasonable if flags, pride and heated discussion are too far?
[bq]yanks want everything to be about politics[/bq]
It's not that we *want* everything to become political. Things become political because meaningful social progress usually only happens through political movement here in the US. Our system of government is designed not to move, or take action, as a matter of course. Doing nothing is the status quo. Rights have to be fought for.
Is that ideal? I don't know, but that's the reality of it. Hence my comment about privilege. Trans people in America would feel *blessed* to be met with mere indifference. If, as a trans person, you enjoy the comfort of indifferece and equal legal rights in your country, be glad, because not everyone has it as well as you do.
So you'll have to forgive us frothing at the mouth yanks for doing what we have to in order to push social progress and get political minority groups the representation and legal rights they deserve.
That said, some people can take it too far, as this comment section is demonstrating...
