Giraffes are even-toed ungulates, and more closely related to cattle than horses. Of course, we also have sapient cows, yaks, buffalo, and deer, so it's all very inconsistent.
Would David Attenborough be available to present a documentary on the fauna of Equestria to settle these questions?
