When have they lied about it? He deleted the tweet but in the tweet he said he was pretty confident it's not happening. Given that EqG at best has cameos that amount to nothing and that the movie was canonized by dialogue in s8 and now with capper's appearance it's pretty much a given it's not happening. Also they plan seasons in advance and he's part of the staff so I see no reason not to trust his word on top of all that we're already halfway through the season.
