Such transformations seem to be of only limited use in a fight, as any large hit seems to quickly force ta changemlings back into their true form. There may also be a time limit when in a large form, and there also seems to be a size limit (note how small the roc and ursa minor she turns into are compared to real ones).


 
When it comes to fighting, Chrysalis is arguably more dangerous in her true form, especially since changelings don't gain any of the special powers of things they change into.


 
On another note, I kind of wish we had seen cragadiles more. They're a cool design, but I suppose they might be a bit expensive to animate.
