I occasionally see my mother-in-law with her two dogs, one's a male Saint Bernard the other a female Newfoundland, both she trained to be service dogs. They're great. :)
I have a personal attachment to animals personally, partially having grown up on the spectrum with Asperger's Syndrome. There have been very few moments in my life where I haven't had a pet of some kind. I've had a full range from dogs and cats to two birds, a few hamsters, two rats, three guinea pigs, and many fish. Having therapy animals have probably helped me be as patient and (mostly) calm as I am now. My current cat Ninja is probably the longest animal I've had and definitely the best cat I've ever head, let alone the best pet. He's my buddy, my best friend, he's family.
