Guess 'cause the Circle pad is easier on the thumb, however I'm afraid to play games like this afraid it might wear it down like SSB for 3DS did...
 
(The circle pad broke off my old 3DS like with many SSB players... Now I'm afraid to play SSB on my New3DS. Strangely, some SSB for 3DS players prefer playing with the broken analogue nub withounderneath the circle-pad. Now I'm afraid to play SSB on my New3DS.)


 
Taking that, and the Switch JoyCon "drift" issue into consideration, it's ironic that the Nintendo controller (that comes with said console) with the best analogue stick in recent times was ironically, the much ballyhoo'd & bashed WiiU Game Pad.
