That shouldn't keep you from roleplaying, I mean, in one sense, we roleplay all the time as ourselves as we go through life. Role-Playing Games are focused on doing that, it's just the character you play as is usually in a world with monsters and mayhem, so becoming an adventurer to fight the monsters and such is yet another job.  
All you have to do is imagine your characters' life.
