I mean this just casts the entire thing in a new light. Stygian spent who knows how long gathering the group, bonding with and leading them all the way, and the exact moment he recruits Starswirl (his idol no less) everything starts to fall apart.


 
That's pretty sad. Damn right Starswirl should've been the one to apologize to him after they beat the PoS.
