I've already got rid of all my other fears and phobias, like being afraid of spiders and ghosts, but I still can't stop being globophobic.
For doing so, I have to start popping balloons, and this is something I really don't want to do. It's related to my childhood and it's like a birthday parties' PTSD, where the other kids would pop all the balloons while I would flee away from the popping and try to save some balloons for me because I would think they are cute and beautiful. This compassion towards balloons grew up on me as I was getting older and now I'm living with it.
I know this may sound like a psychological disorder to some people (thinking an inanimate object is like a living being), but for me this is really special. Balloons are awesome toys and I don't feel like destroying such a shiny and colorful little piece of joy…
