I kinda used to be on the fence about Sweetie Belle's body-type. I couldn't decide if I wanted her to be super voluptuous or forever loli, and found myself alternating between. Meanwhile, I was always drawing Rarity as super voluptuous; But more and more, I started to feel like that was too obvious and overdone.


 
So instead, I started making Rarity have a very even hourglass figure; something more graceful, rather than overtly "thicc". And by extension, making Sweetie Bell share those genetics solved my indecision about her body-type.


 
Following that, I decided to make AJ nearly the bustiest of the Mane 6, in addition to being tall and muscled. But then, rather than just giving AB her older sister's same body type, I decided to make **her** super curvy. I think she'll never be quite as broad-shouldered or muscled as her sister, but she'll have the large chest and wide hips. I never thought of it as a pun on "bloom" but hey, the shoe fits I guess.


 
Having said that, I aimed for all these girls to be older teens. It's quite possible they all have a little more growing to do. (Or maybe not. Haven't decided).
