Yeah, but as a result, fans feel Starlight never got "what she deserved," or developed her reformation enough, (or at least until later) like Sunset did. Sunset's treatment made everyone feel sorry for her, and forgive her. That's why fans easily forgave Sunset, but not Starlight.
 
Though, regardless it still feels like a bit of double standards to me, as I feel Sunset was just as easily reformed with rainbow beams, (and aside from rarely showing a temper problem, her personality is the complete opposite of what it used to be) and I felt she was a li'l too woobie-fied in Rainbow Rocks to the point she kinda stole all the spotlight. (Ironically, something some hate other characters for.)


 
Granted, Spike, Trixie, and others kinda rub Starlight's nose in it at times, and she does still foul up. So Starlight still gets some of it back.
 
Still, I feel both characters have some flaws with their reformations. (So I tire of the "Sunset VS Starlight" fueds.)
