Would you be surprised if (and that's a BIG "if") Tara Strong wound up doing her own singing for Twilight in the movie instead of Rebecca Shoichet? It could be done, too. She's a good singer on her own, but because she normally records in an entirely different area from the rest of the Vancouver cast, it's more convenient (and probably less expensive) to use a soundalike who's already in the studio. Or maybe the cast won't have to change location and Rebecca will do it anyway.
But I digress. Check the "Music" (i.e., score) section in the credits of any song-heavy episode of MLP (MMC, COTLM, etc.), and you'll see that Daniel Ingramscoredid them all instead of William Anderson. And this movie will have no fewer than 7 songs, only one of them by Sia.
