Well, uh, kind of? Chickens are dinosaurs in the same way mammals are proto-mammals. As in, not at all, but they do share ancestors that lived among the dinosaurs. It's implausible that any spacific dinosaur unearthed is the most likely single species that spawned modern birds, astronomically unlikely, but the dinosuars that have been unearthed are cousins. Like how not all birds are chickens, but all chickens are birds. Same with dinosaurs.
