OK here, because:
 
1. She's adorable. We love adorable.
 
2. She's got an edge to her at the same time. We like that, it makes the show feel more legitimate.
 
3. She's what's known as a "tsundere" character, and a lot of this fandom likes those kinds of characters.
 
4. She's highly unusual... a cute female teenage dragon. We just haven't seen this kind of character in this show before, like... ever.
