Tokusatsu Thread (Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman and the likes)

the Japanese voice cast for the MMPR movie has started to be revealed.

I’m really getting tired of Toei putting important backstory stuff for Kamen Rider shows in Blu-ray exclusive special features, especially since they take ages to get subbed owing to both the Blu-rays taking a while to come out and the fact that they’re always low-priority for getting subbed for groups like Over-Time. They’ve been doing this shit for the past 3 years now (Drive with Type Tokujo, Ghost with Heroic Legend of Alain, and now Ex-Aid with Snipe Episode 0).
 
This is stuff that should be in the actual series, not freaking supplemental material like Blu-ray exclusive special features. ESPECIALLY regarding Taiga in Ex-Aid, since we’re 21 episodes in and we still barely no anything about the guy and probably won’t learn much until the Blu-rays come out with those exclusive special features.

I kind of agree.  
We should be given the important info in the show, but some of the stuff in the extras is really not somthing we needed to see.
 
See The Legend of Hero Alain was more of a side story with it being half import.  
It had a number of things in the first one that where really of no importance(we really didn’t need the stuff with Fumi and Harumi from before he met them in the show), and even a continuity error(he’s introduced to takoyaki when he met Saionji).
 
Type Tokujo had it’s run based one on old case begin the reason the members of the Special Investigation Unit where pecked, but half the time it kind of skirted around how it was connected to the roidmude, almost seeming at times like it was just a coincidence how it had to do with it.

Also Type Tokujo was where we got the “reason” why Kiriko couldn’t become Drive. That “reason” being “She just can’t because girls have weak bodies, lulz.”

Still no sub of “The 100 Eyecons and Ghost’s Fateful Moment” anywhere?

Kamen riders movies always seem to take much longer to sub then super sentai movies do.

I just watched Super Hero Taisen Z.Shadow Moon totally goes out like a punk.

I noticed the one thing I don’t miss from the older sentai, the narrator giving the same expository lines almost every episode.

Dekaranger was especially bad about that. Every episode had the narrator bring up how the morphing worked, the judgement system, Sen’s thinking pose, and Jasmine’s esp Powers. Even near the end of the season when most people already know how that stuff works.

Ya, I love Dekaranger but that was damn annoying.  
As I’m going though Gingaman right now I’m reminded of it.
 
“Gingaman, a title~~” We know.  
“Barban extrac~~” We know.  
“The Starbeast, they ar-” We… okay that’s part of the opening so that’s fine.

Dekaranger at least had the excuse that it was a homage to the Space Sheriffs, which also did that. The idea was that any one episode could be someone’s first, so you gotta fill them in just in case they’re new. That’s why Dekaranger is so episodic.
 
Gingaman, however, doesn’t really have that excuse.
