General Anime Thread

I actually liked Sonic X. I didn’t know about how much the dub removed, but I didn’t find the show that bad. It had engaging story arcs with fun and likable characters, and it was all done with pretty impressive animation.
 
I just tried to ignore everything having to do with Chris Thorndyke.

Yeah. But seriously, Chris Thorndyke annoyed the hell out of me. I legitimately believe the show would have been better without him. I mean, they were basically implying that Sonic couldn’t hold a show that’s named after him by his own.
 
I guess they had to cash in on the Pokemon trope of the main character of a show about fictional anthropomorphic creatures always being a human pre-teen boy, but still.

Yeah, Chris is easily the worst part about that show.

The thing is that the other human characters were cool. I especially like Rouge’s dynamic with Topaz, the FBI agent.
 
Also, the story arc of the last season was really well-done.

I remember when it started adapting the stories from the games.
 
And Chris started stealing some character’s roles from those games.

Yeah… Chris’s role in the show was always unclear to me. Was he supposed to be Sonic’s best friend? We already had Tails for that. And if they needed a human to take them in and help them adjust to this new world, they could have gone with any other character.

I still need to watch that episode. As well as episode 2 of Sin. But somehow I just don’t feel like it right now, not quite sure why.

I just finished watching Nichijou. It was so, so amazing. I loved every second of it.

Saw second part of Yuuki Yuuna prequel movie and it was wonderful
