He smiles, and gives her a kiss on the cheek as she sleeps.

He smiles before sitting in a comfey chair in the corner. Then, he takes off his hat, and doozes off as well. But not before taking a drink from his flask.

Just liquor. Albiet, very strong liquor. Sometimes, he actually fills it with soda, but since it is so rare, whiskey or rum is usually what occupies said flask. He would not wake up for another few hours.
