our Technology advanced our movement got ever faster, and finally the princesses lost control, princess celestia and princess Luna could normally Keep the climate balanced and the sea at bay, but when their celestial bodies stopped listening th catastrophe finally happened, the land was flooded and the mortals had to flee the rising tides.
 
that was twenty years ago and ressources are wearing thin, communications collapsed, Society following soon after, in this day and Age all pretenses of goodness have been dropped, everyone´s a pirate, but some are well enough organized to make it.
 
if you have a ship you have power and freedom, freedom to choose which side will not fire at you on sight.

So what of Celestia and Luna, the Mane Six, Shining Armour and Princess Cadance… of Discord? Where are they in this roleplay, have they too become pirates?

(maybe it was a form mistake to start with an IC post but Inspiration is a heartless B!tch at times and i had to make it Count while it lasted, Canon characters are open to be played, but the princesses were immensely depowered, to the unrecognizable Point, the ladies had to Change their names, shining armor lost control of his guard in the chaos of the flooding.

)Why are the princesses so depowered? I can understand perhaps losing control of the sun and moon but Celestia and Luna are both still over a 1000 years old with great experience in magic. I could see the royal sisters doing less piracy and more seeking out a way of bring back together their Equestria. I could see them being the ones to come up with a ‘pirate code’ that many pirates would follow, counting Twilight and her crew.
 
I could see the Mane Six forming a crew, with Twilight as the captain, perhaps with a few other ponies from Ponyville. I would also see them being the pirate crew least likely to suffer mutiny.
 
Shining Armour and Cadance I feel would also form a crew., perhaps with a few guard and crystal ponies. They would possibly deal in the trade of crystals for magic and weapons, ascetically at least.)

(they would indeed and you have some really good ideas, i tend to make These up as i go, as for the princesses i imagined in this verse, as every thread is its´ own, a good share of their power, read post-Ascension, Comes from their Connection with their respective sun and moon, returning them to pre Ascension, which i envisioned for Luna as a Pegasus and celestia a unicorn, and yes, she has the experience, but energy happens to be a fickle Thing for most mortal unicorns.)

So can guns be used?  
And if so what happened to the Equestrian navy? I kinda want to have a scattered navy trying to maintain order with scarce resources

(guns are yes, navy is yes, but only their own order, it´ll be explained upon Encounter.)

(Celestia and Luna are born alicorns, I feel that is an important detail to keep. On their power coming from the sun and moon… perhaps partly, but not fully. The princesses being born alicorns was offered by Lauren Faust and is stated in The Journal of the Two Sisters by Amy Keathing Rogers.
 
I would be willing to play Princess Celestia, as I have experience with roleplaying her on MLP Forums. I can PM you a few links of the roleplay with the diarch of the sun, so you can see how I roleplay her.)
