I think even with good rendering; it would likely have taken even longer to process. Not to mention they would have to pour in more resources. That's why moscertain scenes throughout MYM feel small and lack big crowds, compared to massive scenes like in ANG. And with the possible fact of time constraints, the team probably had to produce something quicker in time to meet the deadlines because of possible crunch time. It's common for a follow-up series of a movie to not appear as good as the associated film. For MYM's case it really watered down and took a lot of time to get things working to meet the compatibility for Maya.

I will give kudos to MYM's production team as they worked very hard to make things work normally. You can even see over each chapter the quality improves, but alas, the ending of it killed of its future potential

Keep in mind, Autodesk Maya *can* produce a good quality render similar to ANG, but it would likely have taken even longer to render. That's why most scenes throughout MYM feel small, compared to massive scenes like in ANG. AIt's common for a follow-up searies of a movie t,o not appear as good as the associated film. For MYM's case it really watered down and took a lot of time to get things working to myeet the compatibility for Maya.
