If I understand what you mean, that makes it harder to quote people or link to the "think thing you did right here" when sending messages, or referencing the "thing" on Discord when people are appealing. Stuff like that is easier if you can just click the thing and get the thing. But, my view of comments and posts might be different than your's ... hmmm ... not sure ... might have to do science and use the site anon or something to see what actually happens.
But, being able to click "This Thing" is useful for me - what is the reason you think they should disappear?
