To me it looks like they're still being used just as convivial hangouts by friends having fun together. Kind of like image #0 or the pizza thread are handled.

At MiniCon we used to call that "microprogramming", which is basically people entertaining themselves, which in those threads is not breaking any rules - except maybe off topic, but for those old event threads it seems to not be doing any harm.

If people are breaking rules in there, like 0 or spamming or something like that, then we can look at it. But last time I looked at them they seemed remarkably well behaved.

I'll subscribe to them, just in case. I mean - I'm still participating in one of them from time to time, but I'll try to pay more attention to them.
