If that's true, then how would one explain boys occasionally liking girl stuff? And vice-versa?
 
I think what you meant by this is that sexual impetus hormones later in life lead to boys respecting girls more and seeing them less as "nasty girly girls", but i can say that many young boys already have quite some libido, regardless if they know it.
