Liberalizing hasn’t come to the CCP and they know that. They may also know that they represent some final representation of capitalism and have themselves become deeply entrenched within the structure.
You could demand that companies withdraw from China, serious universal sanctions and laws go into effect to seeprate China from the American market, but the American market has no where else to go for growth, no where that it has the safety and stability it likes so much. China might suffer for a bit but it’ll find a new way because it’s not so risk adverse. But the American capitalist system would greatly suffer by effectively deleting so much capital or possible capital from it and it’d be a fast way to collapse the whole thing.
This is of course intertwined with the whole of capitalist logic. It could be hypothesized if the whole of American economic logic were changed then it would not matter if it could trade with China. But that’s a massive academic project itself. But if we assume Trump’s actions towards China reach any sort of conclusion, the split of the global market may mean we’ll have to suffer then, and ask the question: “what do we do with the American economy?”

They REALLY want you to be super dependent on Apple and their overpriced repair services which usually boils down to “It dead. Pay 300 dollars for a replacement, which btw, is not a NEW unit but actually refurbished one, but we never will tell you that.”

When the state-owned, public TVs start broadcasting US shows and movies, spam ads for chinese-made things, and basically promotes the idea of internationalism as a rule and a lifestyle that is not yours, this is no longer competition, it is enforced, this is a political decision by inaction, by failure to keep borders.
Today there are politicians (Macronesque) inaugurating yet another Amazon platform. “Look it’s got robots!” Kilotons everyday of shit made in china sold at low cost, relying on a thousand of employees only. A French politician welcoming yet another company that will create 1000 jobs, but force 30000 to 60000 to become jobless.
Closing of businesses, closing of the remaining french corporations that can no longer hire people without drowning in taxes, which also accelerates the process. More local businesses/corporations/factories closes, more unemployment, increase of taxes and deductions. The employees can not sustain a decent lifestyle, no perspective, no future. people are pissed but they are kept the head just above the water with the welfare, a misery, AKA what the government sprinkles to avoid a complete revolution.
But if this is what the people want, if that’s what they keep doing, believing globalization is a good thing, that we can compete with a country-factory of a billion and half, underpaid slaves, this is really the end.
This is a genocide, for the agricultural world, also for the identity, culture and intellect for every country that takes part in this massacre. Because to make all this acceptable, liberalism, the current leading ideology also pushes the vice of forcing a propaganda through inculture which is part of a whole.
