Except you don’t need to watch a movie to know when it’s going to suck, likewise you don’t need to play a video game to know when a video game is bad, and by my standards, Sw/Sh are incredibly subpar

I mean, it’s not unreasonable to go via firsthand account or semi-professional review, but the only way to satisfy some people would be to buy it, and then you just lose twice.

Dude my friend played Pokemon Shield so I have second-hand experience with it and neither of us are fans.  
People sometimes just dislike things from their own reasons.

It very much is. It needed another year of dev time.
 
It feels very very rushed an unfinished, since one Gym is not even in both games and they just give you the other badge The open world feel empty and the story starts near the end of it.
 
Also, they just give you the legionaries…
