Still think it’s dumb. Ghost and ghost-types are very different things, hence why Marowak didn’t turn into a Gasly even though it would if the theory is true.

Pokemon lore is really weird on what exactly are Pokemons and Humans, and the difference between them. Like there’s those books in D/P/PT that say Pokemon and Humans used to be the same creatures that even married each other freely, then they diverged at some point. And like people have said there’s a few pokedex entries that state human spirits can turn into ghost pokemon.

Think is, the pokedex is full of shit (like how Drifloon is both strong enough to carry children to the underworld and isn’t strong enough and is a glorified balloon to them), so I never take it seriously or with any grain of truth. Even the anime mocked them in an ep.
